We focus on one high-impact book every three months. This deliberate pace is not intended for "heavy reading"—rather it provides ample time to breathe, observe workplace dynamics, and bring fresh perspectives into the discussion. Virtual meetups are scheduled once per month, establishing a consistent rhythm that respects the demanding schedules of professionals while ensuring concepts are thoroughly absorbed.
Sample Quarterly Schedule
Month 1: The Foundation - Setting intentions, sharing initial impressions and establishing the book’s core philosophy.
Month 2: Deep-Dive & Application - Analyzing different perspectives on themes while sharing personal anecdotes and case studies of the concepts "in the wild".
Month 3: Integration & Insights - Synthesizing collective experiences into actionable takeaways and creating individual “Action Playbooks”.

This club is founded on the belief that the group is the expert. The true value is not found in the pages of the book, but in how we navigate the leadership terrain together through our shared dialogue. By engaging with these books in a series of virtual meetups, we create an accountability loop. You move past simply reading about concepts like radical candor or strategic thinking; you actively discuss how to implement these tools with a coach and a cohort of others who are facing the same challenges.
The "Hype vs. Reality" Debate: We openly discuss which elements of the book feel like theoretical "fluff" and which parts are genuinely transformative.
Shared Troubleshooting: Share a specific leadership challenge you're currently facing and collaboratively apply the book’s framework to find a solution.
Cross-Industry Insights: Gain diverse perspectives by hearing how members from various industries and experience levels interpret the same concept.
-
Why choose a book club run by E.G. Insights over a casual peer group? An E.G. Insights Coach elevates the conversation from passive consumption to active professional development.
The Coach acts as a facilitator and bridge-builder, ensuring the conversation remains balanced, drawing out the insights of quieter voices, and helping the group discover the "connective tissue" between individual experiences. The core value lies in a brave space for honest sharing. As the Coach states, "My role isn't to tell you what the book means. It’s to ask the questions that help you realize what the book means to you and your unique leadership journey."

You hold a seat at the table. We believe leaders must have ownership over their own development. Members are not just participants—they are curators. To ensure the content is relevant to your current professional hurdles, the curriculum selection process is democratic:
The Themes: Every quarter, the group selects a "Leadership Friction Point" theme (e.g., Authentic Leadership, Navigating Burnout, or Leading through Change).
The Shortlist: E.G. Insights curates a list of high-impact titles that align with the selected theme.
The Vote: Members cast their votes for the specific book that will define the next 90 days of discussion.
The Ownership: Members are strongly encouraged to contribute "outside-in" resources (articles, podcasts, or personal case studies) to complement the book.

Who should join Unlocking Leadership?
If you are a “student of leadership” looking to advance your career, expand your impact, or refine your professional skills, there is a seat at the table for you. Whether you are a seasoned executive or simply curious about leadership philosophy, this space is designed for anyone eager to move beyond superficial reading and into active implementation.
Do I have to be a manager/leader to participate?
Not at all. Leadership takes many forms, and we believe the group is the expert. We thrive on cross-industry insights and diverse perspectives—whether you are an aspiring leader, a new supervisor, or a seasoned professional. Everyone brings their unique "terrain" to the group, and our shared discussion becomes the curriculum.
How does membership work?
You can join for a single quarterly session (3 months) or a full-year subscription (12 months). To maintain our accountability loop and ensure a consistent group rhythm, memberships must be active before a new quarter begins. To protect the "brave space" of the cohort, we do not accept new members mid-session.
Is the book included in the registration fee?
Registration fees cover club operations and professional coaching facilitation. Members are responsible for sourcing their own copies of the selected books, which allows you the freedom to choose the format—physical, digital, or audio—that best fits your learning style.
Can I participate if I prefer audiobooks?
Absolutely. We move at a deliberate, "breathe and observe" pace rather than a "heavy reading" sprint. The book is simply our compass—the tool we use to establish a common language. As long as you are prepared to discuss the core themes and share how they apply to your real-world experiences, any format works.
